ServiceTitan pricing 2026:$300–1,000/mo, reviewed for HVAC.

Honest ServiceTitan review for HVAC contractors. Complete feature breakdown, real pricing (not marketing numbers), pros/cons, and guidance on who should—and shouldn't—invest.

    OVERALL
    8.5/10
    BEST FOR

Growing HVAC companies with 5+ trucks and $2M+ revenue who need dispatch, CRM, and marketing in one platform

    NOT IDEAL FOR

Solo contractors, small teams (1-4 people), or installation-focused businesses needing fast estimating only

    REAL PRICE

$450–1,050/month ($12,000-18,000+ first year with setup)

    BOTTOM LINE

Enterprise-level features justify enterprise-level pricing—if you're big enough to use them

    IN THIS REVIEW ▾

ServiceTitan is the most talked-about HVAC software in the industry. Walk into any contractor conference, and you'll hear debates about whether it's a game-changer or overpriced hype. But at $300-500/month (often more), is it actually worth it?

This honest ServiceTitan review covers what the platform does well, where it falls short, and who should (and shouldn't) buy it. I've talked to dozens of contractors using ServiceTitan, reviewed the actual pricing they're paying, and compared it directly against alternatives.

    FULL TRANSPARENCY

I build EstimateKit, a competing product focused specifically on HVAC estimating. But I'll be fair about what ServiceTitan HVAC software does better and where alternatives make more sense. My goal is helping you pick the right tool, even if it's not mine.

By the end of this review, you'll know exactly whether ServiceTitan fits your business—or whether you're better off with something simpler (and cheaper).

    01WHAT IS SERVICETITAN?

A business operating system, not an estimating tool.

ServiceTitan is an all-in-one field service management platform built specifically for home service businesses—HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Unlike specialized tools that do one thing well, ServiceTitan tries to be your entire business operating system.

    Dispatch and scheduling
    Estimating and proposals
    Customer relationship management (CRM)
    Invoicing and payment processing
    Marketing automation
    Reporting and analytics
    Mobile app for technicians
    Call booking and customer portal

ServiceTitan positions itself as the "enterprise" solution for growing home service companies. They target 5+ truck operations that want to eliminate multiple tools and consolidate everything into one platform. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Glendale, California, they serve over 10,000 customers across home services.

    02PRICING

What you'll actually pay.It isn't on their website.

ServiceTitan doesn't publish ServiceTitan pricing on their website. You have to book a demo and go through sales to get a quote. Here's what contractors actually pay in 2026 based on real invoices I've reviewed.

    Seven for.Seven against.

    PROS

One platform for everything eliminates tool-switching. Your techs, office staff, and you all work in the same system.

    Built for scale

If you're growing from 5 trucks to 15 trucks, ServiceTitan grows with you. Other tools break at this scale.

Customer portal, automated communications, and online booking make you look like a large, established company.

    CONS
    Expensive

$12,000-18,000/year for most contractors. That's 15-23 monthly jobs just to cover software costs.

    Overkill for small businesses

If you have 1-3 trucks, you're paying for features you'll never use.

    Steep learning curve

Plan 2-3 weeks for full team training. Your office staff will struggle initially.

    Locked into annual contracts

Can't easily leave if it's not working. You're committed for 12 months minimum.

    Hidden costs add up

Add-ons, extra users, payment processing fees add 30-50% to advertised price.

    Generic estimating

The estimating module isn't HVAC-specific. No built-in load calculations. Takes 20-30 minutes per estimate.

    Slow implementation

Getting fully set up and trained takes 1-2 months. You can't just start using it tomorrow.

    05WHO IT’S FOR

Perfect at eight trucks.Overkill at one.

    PERFECT FOR
    Growing HVAC companies (5-20 trucks)

Need professional dispatch · Want everything in one system · Ready to invest in software · Have office staff to manage it · Doing $2M+ annual revenue

    Service-heavy businesses

70%+ service calls vs installations · Need membership programs · Want automated marketing · Value customer retention tools

    Data-driven operators

Love analytics and dashboards · Track KPIs religiously · Optimize based on numbers

Example: HVAC company with 8 trucks, 12 techs, doing $3.5M/year. They need dispatch, CRM, and marketing automation. ServiceTitan consolidates 4-5 tools they were using. Worth $15,000/year.
    OVERKILL FOR
Solo contractors or 1-2 person crews

Don't need dispatch (you know where you're going) · $12,000/year is significant % of revenue · Learning curve not worth it for simple needs

    Installation-focused contractors

Estimating takes too long (20-30 min) · Don't need complex service call features · Better off with a specialized estimating tool

    Budget-conscious contractors

Just getting started · Doing under $1M revenue · Not ready for $15,000/year commitment

Example: Solo HVAC contractor doing installations. Needs fast estimating. Doesn't need dispatch, complex CRM, or marketing automation. EstimateKit at $49/month or Housecall Pro at $49/month makes more sense.

    07WHAT CONTRACTORS SAY

Big shops love it.Small shops leave.

ServiceTitan transformed our business. We went from 5 trucks to 15 in 3 years. The dispatch board alone is worth it.

    MIKE, TEXAS · 12 TRUCKS

We're a 2-person operation. ServiceTitan was total overkill. Paid $6,000 for the year, used maybe 20% of features. Switched to Housecall Pro and haven't looked back.

    TOM, OHIO · SOLO

Customer portal is game-changing. Customers can see tech arrival times, approve estimates online, pay instantly. We look way more professional.

    SARAH, FLORIDA · 8 TRUCKS

Implementation took 3 months. Training was a nightmare. Half our office staff still doesn't use it properly after a year.

    JENNIFER, ARIZONA · 6 TRUCKS

The reporting showed us which techs were most profitable. Made tough decisions easier. ROI was clear after 6 months.

    DAVID, CALIFORNIA · 20 TRUCKS

The price creep is real. Year 1: $450/month. Year 2: $520/month. Year 3: $600/month. Plus we kept adding ‘essential’ features that cost extra.
